Rez Mani (Ph.D)

Scientist (R&D)

Ph.D in Earth and Space Science, specialized in satellite optical instrumentation, from York University in Toronto. He also holds an M.Eng in engineering physics,  specialized in optical properties of semiconductors, from McMaster university in Hamilton. In 2011, following 10 years as an optical scientist, during which he contributed and led a number of optical/laser/spectroscopic projects, Dr. Mani returned to York University as a contract faculty member and research associate. He is a consultant for Allied Scientific Pro since 2011 and an application scientist with the company since 2017.
Odoo - Sample 1 for three columns
The webinar will cover several spectroscopic and photometric topics, including colour temperature, spectral range, CRI index, wave and particle properties of light, black body radiation, and photometric and radiometric units. In addition, the discussion will focus on the new TM30-20 IES/ANSI standard and how to generate the TM30-20 report by inputting the Lighting Passport data to the TM30-20 web calculator. Finally, we’ll also touch on the cloud service where the Spectrum Genius Plus data is saved. Understanding these basic concepts, data sets, and calculations are essential for improving any work with instruments capable of measuring photometric, radiometric and spectroscopic parameters.
